It's not every day that we are asked to produce a commemorative posters for an airline, so when China Eastern Airlines came knocking to do just that, we went all out. This 13-color screen print (+ foil stamp!) is one of our more ambitious commercial posters to date. CEA's recently launched Shanghai - Chicago direct flight is a huge leap in both engineering and cultural exchange. We wanted the poster to reflect that ambition. Showing simultaneous views of the two cities, idea was to literally bend space to make them closer, with the abstracted sparrow crossing the threshold which builds off their logo.
